Wings to Vision 2020-21

Like every year COEI organized its flagship event Wings2Vision 2021: a training-based business plan competition. This year Wings2Vision 2021 was open for students and teachers across Maharashtra. 2 teacher teams, 2 alumni and 103 students registered for the competition. Total 135 people registered.

3 days Basic Entrepreneurship Development Program was organised by COEI to help participants learn effective ways to plan, start their business from 4th February to 6th February 2021. On day 1 Dr. Kaustubh Dhargalkar facilitated Design Thinking: Understanding the customers, ways to do user research, feasibility study, crystalizing your business idea workshop, Dr. Hasina Sayed facilitated the ‘Creation of Business Model Canvas’ workshop and on the last day of EDP CA, Sushrut Chitale sir conducted a workshop based on ‘Development of basic cost & revenue model’. Through this 3-days workshop the participants received help for building on their business ideas. After the EDP participants had their panel rounds for evaluation of their business plan. The Submission of business plan and presentation (First round) was held on 10th & 11th February where 48 teams were evaluated. Those 48 teams were evaluated by 12 industry reviewers. The reviewers listened & discussed every team’s business idea in detail and evaluated the teams for the 2nd panel round. 36 teams were chosen for the 2nd round which was held on 20th February. These 36 teams presented their plan in detail to the reviewers who then gave the names for the final round. The final round was held on 27th February 2021 where 10 teams presented their business plan in detail. Mr. Mohan Tanksale, Mr. Ajit Deshmukh, Dr. Dhruv Nath and Mr. Sushanto Mitra judged the final round and chose the winners. The virtual prize distribution for Wings2vision 2021 was held on 28th February 2021. Prizes were declared for 3 categories namely Students, Teachers and Alumni. Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe; Chairman AICTE was invited as a chief guest for the same. For the students Category Ms. Shreya Gupta & Mr. Subham Layek won the 1st prize for their idea. Ms. Simran Singh, Mr. Ainan Patel & Mr. Aditya Thorat won the 2nd prize & a special recognition prize was given to Ms. Mayuri Vichare, Mr. Ishan Nagvekar & Mr. Sarvesh Karekar. For the Alumni category Mr. Jayvrat Kapoor received the winner’s prize. For the teacher’s category Mrs. Sukruta Pethe, Mrs. Sumedha Barve & Dr. Swati Achrekar won the prize. With the winners being announced, all the prizes and trophies were sent to the winners via courier and Wing2Vision 2021 was successful.
